Your own energy expert for your Club
We are completely independent and impartial. Our role is to help your Conservative Club get the most competitive gas and electricity prices.
This is through our long-term relationships with energy companies, and extensive knowledge of the energy market.
We don’t send your club a bill for our work. Instead, a fee/commission is charged to energy companies for contracts placed. This covers our expertise and knowledge. Nothing to lose therefore, in asking us for options. And this doesn’t commit you to anything whatsoever, incidentally.
You can call us at any time throughout your contract for advice. You may have a query on a bill or something else. Just let us know and we will resolve it for you directly with the energy company. This saves you time, as well as money. All part of our 5-star service.

Conservative Club electricity prices
Conservative Clubs are charged business energy prices (non-domestic), so you need to get prices from business energy suppliers. You will know several from your experience with domestic energy at home (British Gas, EDF, Scottish Power, etc). They operate in both domestic and business markets.
But there are many more.
And the vast majority of these other energy companies only supply business premises. Not domestic. You won’t have come across them when looking for a new energy supplier for your electricity at home.
This is where our market knowledge helps. We can check prices from 20-25 energy suppliers. They won’t all be applicable to your business criteria or energy consumption. Some focus on considerably higher energy use.
Several energy companies are pulling out of the hospitality market altogether. Some see it as too risky. Even more reason to talk to experts. Suppliers are often changing their credit criteria, and industries they are willing to work with. We keep on top of this.
Do you know if the price you pay your energy supplier includes a premium for the hospitality industry?
And if sustainability is important to you, we also offer a market-leading range of green tariffs. The price of green electricity has fallen in recent years, and these tariffs can now be just as competitive as standard electricity.
Better electricity prices, even from the same energy company
This club had an annual spend of around £4,560 on electricity. They were keen, therefore, to get the best price possible in 2018 when their contract was coming to an end.
After fixing prices for 2 years, we would usually expect prices to increase. This is because electricity prices had risen continually during this period. And British Gas certainly gave them a higher tariff for their next contract. £420 higher, in fact, bringing their annual costs to £4,980 based on the same consumption.
However, we were actually able to lower their electricity prices for the new contract.
Our prices from British Gas were actually lower then they gave the Club (by roughly £250 per year), but we moved them to an online tariff which saved them £700 per year.
And this was marginally lower than the price they had been paying over the previous two years.
Variations in Conservative Club electricity prices
We would love to give you options for your Conservative Club electricity prices here, on this page. Unfortunately, they are changing almost daily. And subject to many different factors, as I’m sure you can appreciate.
Where you are located in the country, how much electricity (or gas) your Club uses. Whether you have a single, dual, or three-rate electricity meter. Not to mention regular fluctuations in electricity prices that reflect movements in the wholesale market.
Is your Club only open in the evenings and on weekends? In which case a 3-rate meter could well be the best option. This will have different prices for different periods during the week. For example:
Weekday daytime hours (highest price per kWh, and when you use minimal electricity)
Evening & Weekend hours (lower than the Weekday price, and generally a lower price per kWh than a single rate contract)
Night hours (usually from midnight to 7am, lowest price per kWh of the three)
Again, very different to your domestic energy, which may see just one or two price changes a year.

Electricity and gas use at your Conservative Club
Reducing the price paid for gas and electricity is one way to bring your bills down. The other, is to reduce the amount of energy used at your Conservative Club.
This two-pronged approach can result in significant cost savings.
Asking us to look at your electricity costs is one option to look at. There will be other measures you could take at your club as well. You can do a simple audit yourselves.
Can you reduce the heating by one degree for example? Turning it off an hour before closing will save money. The club will still be warm. An hour a day can add up over the year.
Are kitchen appliances operating efficiently? Refrigeration units will likely use a large proportion of electricity. Check the temperature these are set to alongside health and safety recommendations. A 1 degree change could lead to a reduction in cost of up to 5%.
If the club is closed for several consecutive days, can these units be turned off?
Other measures may need some initial investment, with a view to recouping the costs in energy saving over a period of years.
One of the smaller outlays could be replacing the taps in toilets. Auto turn off taps stop hot water (that you pay to heat) being wasted.
Hopefully this reduces your energy consumption. Now lower the price you pay for it.
