Commercial gas prices. Time for clarity.
We are the commercial gas experts. After all, managing gas contracts for our business customers is all we do every day of the week. We will bring clarity to your commercial gas prices, while you focus your expertise on running your business.
When you call, it will be helpful if you have an invoice to refer to. We don’t need to know your current charges, but we will need the following information please:
- Post code of your business premises (gas prices vary by region)
- An indication of the amount of gas used in a year (kWh)
And it is as simple as that. We will email a price sheet to you with commercial gas prices for 1-5 year terms. You can then review these in your own time and call us back when you are ready.
So why should you use Perfect Clarity?
We work with over 30 energy companies
Most commercial gas prices come from energy companies who don’t supply gas to homes. They stick to businesses. You obviously know British Gas, EDF, SSE and the other main players in the domestic market. But what about the others?
Don’t confuse us with comparison websites. Most of them only have relationships with half the number of suppliers that we do. Others even less. But they still tell you that they are ‘checking the market’. They don’t mention the prices they aren’t checking for you, which their customers miss out on.
Our buying power reduces commercial gas prices further still
That’s right. We have access to exclusive prices, a product of the buying power we have in the commercial sector. We aren’t simply ‘comparing’ commercial gas prices for your business. We have developed longstanding relationships with energy suppliers.
After sales service
We think this is second to none. It starts once we have logged your signed contract with your new commercial gas supplier. We will be in touch on the start date, to ask for a meter reading (this is all you have to do). This ensures there are no billing disputes and a smooth change of suppliers.
We will contact you after you receive your first bill for the new contract. Just to check all is as you expected. Or if you have any questions, or there is anything you would like us to follow up on.
And during the contract itself, we don’t just leave you in the hands of your new energy supplier. Unlike some other ‘brokers’. If you have any issues or questions you want to raise with your energy supplier, please feel free to call us. Let us do the work for you, all part of our service. You might need a meter exchange, or have a query on a recent invoice. Or simply want to provide a meter reading. Whatever it is, we don’t leave you to fend for yourself. Focus on your business.
So for a service beyond a simple comparison of gas prices, call us today for clarity.
Frequently asked questions
Commercial gas contracts
Are commercial gas contracts legally binding?
Correct, they are. Therefore please ensure you check any contracts carefully. To make this easier for you, we will email all contracts to you. You can review them in your own time – unlike verbal contracts taken over the phone by high pressure sales people from energy companies or brokers. If someone wants to sell you something over the phone like this, it is unlikely to be in your best interests, so please be careful.
We are hoping Ofgem will make verbal contracts illegal in the energy industry as they only create ‘hard sell’ sales calls. Which nobody wants of course.
When is the best time to do my gas contract?
Anytime in the last year of your current gas contract. Please call us for advice. Because of the longstanding relationships we have with the energy companies, we can lock in your new prices this far ahead. The new prices and contract will start the day after your current contract ends – as usual.
There is no crystal ball of course, but we look at gas prices every day. We can tell you if gas prices have been rising or falling recently, and which events are causing theses changes. We can tell you whether we advise waiting for gas prices to fall further, or to use current prices now before there are more increases. Commercial gas suppliers update their gas prices every few weeks.
How long should I fix my next commercial gas contract for?
Commercial gas prices are relatively good value at the moment. In 2015 there was a sharp fall, which followed the fall in the price of oil. The two are closely linked. Since then, gas prices have recovered. But they are not yet at the level before the fall. Some businesses have been taking advantage of the current prices and fixing long-term for price security. Of course, if you prefer to go year by year, they are very good value as well.
